BONNIE GOOSE, a 36 foot Nova sundeck, double cabin trawler, is designed to cruise between 7 and 8 knots. The twin propeller design of this trawler provides the experienced skipper a slightly bigger comfort factor with regard to handling, especially around the piers, as well as drive train redundancy. Regardless, the twin-screw setup should not be viewed as an off-set for inexperience. The novice can get in just as much trouble with two propellers as with one, especially around the piers with the wind blowing. The hard covered sundeck, large flying bridge, step down galley, twin heads, and double cabin layout, are the vessel's more noteworthy features. Chartering BONNIE GOOSE normally requires previous experience on the part of the client in other boats of her size and capability. Sometimes additional training is still required. Exceptions are sometimes considered on a case basis. This vessel is not the one to pick for a first-time transition from sail to power or from a smaller runabout. We are not normally willing to use this vessel for transition training. There are always exceptions, however.
